EVALUATION

In the initial stages of the Mobile Food Market initiative, Public Health (Central Zone) within Nova Scotia Health led evaluations of both the summer/fall 2016 pilot and the winter/spring 2017 pilot. Evaluations were informed by sales data, key informant interviews, focus groups, as well as surveys with market customers.

Evaluation reports are valuable in providing a comprehensive overview of the unique market delivery models and operational components while also assessing the Mobile Food Market’s ability to achieve its original objectives early on. Most importantly, the reports have helped to identify and highlight key lessons to help inform next steps.
